Nokkakivi park is the newest amusement park in Finland. It was opened in 2007, near Jyväskylä city, in Central-Finland
region. It was instantly popular among families with small children due to traditional, nostalgic
amusement park athmosphere, moderate prices, rides suitable for the whole family and its ample gardens. Nokkakivi park contains 15 rides and attractions, the only full size hedge maze in Finland, free lamb farm and free play area for the children. The adjacent circus and arcade game museum Circus World is also part of Nokkakivi park. All the vintage arcade games there can be played for the price of admission fee without any extra charge. The park is located straight along highway 9 and it's very easy to get to (use navigator address Ruuhimäentie 3). Parking is free and admission to Nokkakivi amusement park is free. You are welcome to have fun all day long or just drop by to have coffee and ice cream on your way. Rides are pay-as-you-go. All day unlimited ride wristbands are also available. Wristbands and ride tickets are good for Circus World as well. Nokkakivi park is a true family operated business, founded by amusement park enthusiasts who wanted to create a park where they would liked to visit by themselves. The park is beautifully landscaped, containing victorian style buildings, inspired by the golden age of amusement park early 1900's. About half of the rides are imported from the USA, very exceptional for the European amusement parks.

NOKKAKIVI PARK FOR THE CHILDREN Nokkakivi park offers plenty of rides and attractions for the children aged 2 to 12 years. Half of the rides are suitable for the kids without accompanying adult. Children taller than 100cm (39") can ride most rides alone or with accompanying adult. An adult customer with a valid ride ticket or wristband can bring a child whose height is between 100-120cm (39-47") free of charge into the bumper cars. The queues are light even during the peak times, so waiting times are short. Park offers a free sheep farm where children are allowed to pet and feed animals.

NOKKAKIVI PARK FOR THE TODDLERS Nokkakivi amusement park offers plenty of rides for toddlers, even those who cannot walk by themselves yet. Children under 100cm (39") are admitted alone to every kiddie ride except Octopus and Hully Gully. These two can be ridden with accompanying adult and only the child or adult have to have a valid ride ticket or wristband for both to ride. Circus World also contains plenty of free miniature rides and carousels suitable for the toddlers. Children under 2 years of age are admitted free of charge into Circus World. Adults and children over 2 years of age need only one ride ticket per person or a wristband to enter. Inside, all the rides, ball ponds, arcade games etc. are available free of charge even the whole day, weather protected.

NOKKAKIVI PARK FOR THE ADULTS Nokkakivi park offers both thrill rides and milder family classic rides for the adults. Individual ride tickets are available for all rides, but unlimited ride wristbands are reasonably priced and are the most economical way if you plan to ride more than 6 times. If you have a rideband, you can offer your children a chance to visit major rides with taller height restrictions. A wristband is also recommended if you plan to visit circus and arcade game museum. It allows you to take children under 2 years there free of charce. Coffee is served for just 1€ per cup, and food, snacks and ice cream are reasonably priced, so Nokkakivi park is a great place to rest on your way along highway 9 even if you don't plan to stay long.

WHAT IS THE CIRCUS WORLD? Circus World is an entertainment centre that is part of Nokkakivi amusement park outside the park premises. Under the same roof you can find more than 100 vintage arcade games and coin operated machines, circus museum and indoors miniature amusement park for the small children. All these attractions are available just for one ride ticket or wristband. You can easily spend several hours inside and it's a great place to wait for rain to go away. |

Circus World is located at the end of Laukaanhovi petrol station complex, just 30 meters from the park
entrance. You can also buy ride tickets and wristbands there, if you start your day there. The park's
souvenier shop is located in the lobby of Circus World.

PARKING The whole Laukaanhovi parking lot is available for park visitors. Parking is free, there is plenty of room even for big cars, RV's and campers and there is no need to use parking discs. The spots in front of Circus World offer shadow almost the whole day long and are the best locations to park on hot days.

CAMPERS, RECREATIONAL VEHICLES, NEAREST CAMPGROUND The parking lot is suitable for campers and RV's as well. You are allowed to stay over night, use toilets, empty your trash cans in park's trash containers and fill your water cans free of charge. Please ask help from staff is needed. However, these services are available during the park hours only. The nearest 24/7 campground Camping Ruuhimäki is located just 8 kilometers (5 miles) from amusement park.

DOGS Dogs and pets are not allowed near rides or food stands, but you can walk them through park into shadow on leash. The best shadowy place for pets is located at the back of the park. You can fill water bowls in toilets or baby changing rooms.

SMOKING Nokkakivi park is smoke-free. Smoking is allowed only on designated areas near entrance, centre fountain and on the other marked locations.

HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBILITY There are no notable height differences inside park area. Most attractions and facilities are easily accessible. Majority of the parkways are paved. Wheelchairs can directly access ride loading ramps where staff assists to enter and exit ride. Please note that Round Up is not suitable for handicapped persons due to nature of the ride.

PICNIC-FACILITIES Nokkakivi park offers excellent picnic facilities. You are allowed to bring your own food and drinks and enjoy them on park's many picnic tables and main pavillion. Walking on grass is strictly allowed! You can spread a blanket on the lawn and have a picnic of your lifetime. You can even suntan if you dare! Please note that barbeque or open fire is not allowed on the park grounds.

FOOD AND DRINKS Nokkakivi park cafe serves pizza slices, sandwiches and snacks. Coffee, soft drinks, ice cream, pop corn and cotton candy are available on kiosks. |

SOUVENIERS The souvenier shop is located in the lobby of Circus World, 30 meters from the park entrance. You can find there toys, post cards and high quality Nokkakivi T-shirts. Sizes are from 98cm (39") to XXL.

BABY CHANGING Baby changing facilities are located in the main toilet building, behind the hedge maze at the back of the park. Feeding chairs are available in the main pavillion next to park cafe.

ON RAINY DAYS The whole park stays open during rain and all the rides continue operating if weather permits. However, temporary ride closings are possible due to thunder and lightning but operation resumes after conditions improve. Circus World is a great place to wait for rain to pass. Bumper cars operate under canopy and are not affected by rain.

CREDIT CARDS AND ATM'S We accept Visa, Mastercard and Visa Electron credit cards on park cafe and ticket booths. Please note that game stalls accept cash only. There are no ATM's inside the park. The nearest ATM is located 3 kilometers from the park on Lievestuore town (navigator address Liepeentie 9).
